It's time to QUIT QUITTING

So today on this sunny Monday, as I sit her with post training wet (rapidly going frizzy hair), I want to share with you some truths. Why? Because I know it will help at least one of you and that makes me happy. I should say before I start, if you’re new to this blog, ‘WELCOME!’ and I should also say if you’re looking for a woman who only ever sports immaculate make up, perfect hair, never swears and has her life like the cover of a magazine then i am probably (definitely), not the woman for you. But if, you’re still reading this, I’m going to share some truth’s …

The last few weeks (months even) have been rough, I say rough they’ve been frickin’ awful. Curved balls (lots), disappointment, frustrations, you name it! For a woman who could legit be in Cirque du Soleil spinning plates, I’ve kinda felt like that scene in Titanic; you know the one where the boats going down and hundreds of plates crash to the floor in a million pieces? Yep, that’s been me in some kinda Groundhog Day loop. Now here’s the thing I know because this isn’t a therapy session and I refuse to pass the negative vibes on:

  • We ALL go through ^%$£ at times and it sucks;
  • We are more blessed than the majority of people in the world (think about the news);

AND

  • We will get through the storm;
  • We will grow from it!

Yeah, I hear you, maybe you’re going through stuff too and you’re like “Laura, &^$£ off! Life is awful! Storm?! I’m in a tornado!” … I get you, I hear you and I’m with you in it! But here’s the thing … what are you going to do? Quit! Are you really going to stop treading water and drop to the depths of the ocean Jack style (Can you tell I watched Titanic the other day!)?

See here’s the thing regardless of how big or small the issue(s) you are facing now or do so in the future (because you will), I don’t believe in bottling up your feelings. I’ve done it, it’s painful, it’s like being strangled, it eats you up, it makes you ill and quite frankly, that &^%$ has to come out sometime! So honour it, acknowledge it! Sounds a bit woo woo? Maybe, call it what you like but my point is … ^%£! HAPPENS and as long as you have a breathe in your body, you have a choice of how to react and then, and here’s the thing, how to move forward.

So look around now, maybe you’re that woman and here’s my message to you: “IT’S OK TO HAVE YOUR HOUSE LOOKING LIKE A PRE 60 MINUTE MAKEOVER, IT’S OK TO HAVE THE DISHES STILL TO BE WASHED, IT’S OK TO HAVE THAT GLASS OF WINE TO NUMB THE PAIN, IT’S OK TO HAVE CRIED ON THE WAY HOME,IT’S OK TO BE ANNOYED THAT YOU DIDN’T GET THAT CLIENT/PROMOTION, IT’S OK TO BE KEEPING THE GREASE AT BAY WITH A LOT OF DRY SHAMPOO … IT’S OK TO NOT HAVE IT ALL TOGETHER, BECAUSE NONE OF US REALLY DO!

I speak to women everyday to help them with areas where they’re stuck; changing their body, feeling good when they look in the mirror, growing their business, earning more money, feeling happy again and it’s really easy for us to get hung up on the external stuff. How many times have you said: “It’s not fair”, “If only I _______ (insert randomness)”, even “It’s their fault”. Yes, external stuff happens, but you decide to quit, roll over or stand up and fight back. Me, I'm a fighter and chances are you are too!

Now here’s the thing you’ll get from me - A cuddle and a gentle (or strong) kick. I’ll allow you to pour your ❤️ out, I’ll be non judgemental and then well then we move on to moving forward, why? Because just talking gets you treading water and you gorgeous woman have a choice, actually you have lots! You can sink, let go of the door like Jack and drop (but you’re worth more than that), you can tread water, but there’s only so long you can do that for or you can start and in the words of Dory “just keep swimming”.

So now it’s time to get your house in order (so to speak), wash that hair, put on your best outfit that makes you feel like Holly Willoughby (love her!), add a dash of gloss and let’s do it together.

Me, I’ll be like your biggest cheerleader, shouting you on and also lifting you back up when you lose the momentum in your stroke. I’ll listen to your moans (for a minute) and then I’ll set you off again moving forward, why? Because my deal to you is I quit quitting, do you?

Are you ready? Does this help? I hope so because you’ve helped me by reading this. Drop me a message via the contact page; how can I help you?

Much love, your coach,

Laura 💗
